The Best Mixology Blogs to Follow

Tuxedo No. 2

Tuxedo No. 2 gives it to you straight up, no beating around the bush. As soon as you enter their site, you’re met with a plethora of different cocktails with the ingredients right there for you. Simple, effective and efficient. If you are in search of new ideas, look no further.

Two for the Bar

A little more structured, Two for the Bar has a more ‘bloggish’ feel to its website design. You’re still getting the great ideas and recipes.

Lucky Peach

When it’s time to up your bartending game, Lucky Peach has you covered. These tips are geared more towards those looking to make a career out of it, but can certainly be bent towards private bartenders as well. Improving your skills here will definitely turn some heads at your next event.

The Drink Blog

Like Tuxedo No. 2, The Drink Blog gives you some ideas on the front page. With a good mix of content and pictures, you may just find inspiration there. However, if you click on the recipes tab, you will be taken to their vault of cocktail treasure. Scroll and scroll and scroll if you wish, you won’t be getting through all of these recipes anytime soon.

Melbourne Cocktails

This website has more than just recipes. They include bar reviews, event reviews and cocktail recipes. Whatever your need is, Melbourne Cocktails extends beyond just recipes.

Gastronomista

This website is a bit more traditional than the others. Very structured and more of a blog than a recipe list. If you click the cocktail tab, that’s where the gold is. Less recipes than others, but will give you recipes that are grouped out depending on type.

Stir and Strain

Stir and Strain is uniquely wonderful. The pictures accompanying their posts are second to none. What we like specifically about their blog is that you learn how to make different drinks, but you also get a lesson on presentation as well. Let’s be honest, presentation can impress your guests more than the taste of the drink itself. Later on in the night, your guests will be feeling too good to care how their drink tastes.

Liquor.com

It shouldn’t come as a surprise that this website made the cut. I mean, your name is our love, what more can we ask for? Cocktails, brands, videos, reviews; you name it, liquor.com has it. You want a booze caramel apple? Of course you do. Want to know how to become a better bartender? They have that too. Everything you need under one domain.

Booze Nerds

We’re slightly perturbed because these guys took a domain that we feel could easily be ours. 🙂 Obviously, we can relate. Recipes and good content can be found here!

If you’re in search of some inspiration, these blogs can definitely give you plenty of that. There’s no better feeling than learning a new trick or getting the perfect cocktail recipe down to a science. It doesn’t matter if you are a casual bartender or someone who has people over regularly, you can impress in all sorts of ways. These are the best mixologist blogs to follow if you are at all interested in taking your game to the next level and adding new cocktails to your repertoire.
